What is a short sale? A short sale means the lender is accepting less than the total loan amount due.
Not all lenders will accept short sales. However, I work directly with homeowners to help negotiate with the bank to reduce losses (loss mitigation) for the lender and prevent a foreclosure for the homeowner.

Beware of fraudulent offers, do not sign over the Deed or Title of your property to anyone claiming they will find a buyer or they can “cash you out”.

More importantly, you need to remember that just because it is a short sale, does not mean it is a good deal. Remember, real estate in lesser condition will always sell cheaper. However, you need to be aware of the cost of repairs (seen and unseen) and other risks. And never forget the most important 3 words in real estate, location, location, location.
